Les chalets perchés

We had no complaints about the stay, though our surprise family weekend was over much too soon. The house is beautiful, welcoming, and clean, with a peaceful valley view, and the jacuzzi and sauna add to the calm atmosphere. The owner made us feel very welcome, with a bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge and bathrobes ready. Everything seemed planned to make guests comfortable. Pauline also helped keep our surprise going right to the end. Thank you, Pauline, and well done on your lovely taste.

The large terrace has a magnificent view, and the chalet is spacious, modern in style, and very well equipped for both everyday needs and leisure. The one drawback for us was the tiny mezzanine set up as a children’s bedroom. It sits right above the dining room, which isn’t ideal when the adults are enjoying themselves and the little ones need to sleep. Still, we had an excellent stay in a beautiful setting, and I’d highly recommend it.

The view was magnificent, and we slept well thanks to the excellent bedding and good soundproofing. The building is thoughtfully laid out, with a bathroom in every room, and the kitchen was top-notch. One small suggestion: there aren’t any hooks in the bathroom, so it’s hard to know where to hang wet towels.

We really enjoyed our short stay from April 8th to 11th. The house is in a beautiful spot and had everything we could need, all working perfectly. We were given a very warm welcome, too. Nearby, Perle des Vosges is a fantastic restaurant for fine dining, with excellent service. Best wishes to Alsace from the Ziekow family in Germany.
