What stood out most was how kind the gentlemen at reception were. They gladly answered our questions, helped whenever we needed something and offered advice on getting around the city. I’d really recommend the Best Western to anyone visiting Alsace. We stayed at the end of December for New Year’s, during a very cold spell, and the hotel was warm and exceptionally comfortable. It’s close enough to the railway station that we walked there with our suitcases. We didn’t need other transport for that trip, and bus and tram stops nearby made it easy to reach anywhere we wanted within a few minutes’ walk.

The hotel has secure private parking behind it, for a fee, and a fresh continental breakfast in the morning. It’s a good BW hotel in a central spot, with most places downtown reachable on foot in 5-10 minutes. The rooms and bathrooms are nice, though the layouts can feel compact. The place has been modernised recently.

The 12 o’clock checkout was much appreciated, and the staff were attentive and spoke good English. I stayed at Best Western in Mulhouse and found it well located, reasonably priced, quiet and very clean. The room was small, with limited bathroom counter space, but it was designed well for its size and felt comfortable. The air conditioning was great in the hot weather, especially since many places don’t have it. It would’ve helped if more of the emails and signs were in English for overseas guests. A few were, but most weren’t. Slippers would be nice too :)

The in-room coffee was decent, which is always a big plus, and the sparkling water was unlimited. The rooms are a nice size and the hotel is well located in Mulhouse. We’ll definitely come back.

I’d recommend asking for the top, 5th floor. The room was really nice, and up there you also get city views, plenty of shared seating and a mini gym.
