The restaurant was excellent, with impressive food and service, and the sports hall was perfectly good and met expectations. Book a table, though, as the restaurant seems popular on summer evenings. Our overnight stay was a different story. The rooms felt like old locker rooms converted for guests, with worn, outdated facilities. They also got extremely hot when the summer sun came in, which made the stay uncomfortable. The accommodation left a lot to be desired, even though I’d recommend the restaurant and sports facilities.

We stopped for one night on the way to Italy and had a large, clean family room. The shower was good and the beds were comfortable. The food at the restaurant was excellent, better than I expected, and made up for the wait. It took half an hour to get our drinks, though, and service was a bit slow. Staff were friendly and helpful. We hadn’t realized a table needed to be reserved, and nobody told us, so despite the nice weather we ended up sitting inside. I’d advise booking before your stay. The restaurant could give guests more information, and it would help to have English versions of things like the room cards and menu. Breakfast was okay, but there wasn’t much choice. Thanks for the stay!

We went for dinner and found lots of appealing choices on the menu for different tastes. Most of our group chose the dinner salads, which were very good and made with quality ingredients. Great value, with pleasant, prompt service.

It’s okay for an overnight stop if you have nowhere else to go. I wouldn’t visit this hotel or the city it’s in. The restaurant is awful. The food was low to medium quality and overpriced, and the staff seemed very unprofessional. We waited over half an hour to be served while other French customers were served straight away. Staff weren’t wearing proper uniforms, just their own dirty rags. Do yourself a favour and skip this place.
