ibis Mulhouse Centre Filature

With Ibis, you generally know what to expect, but this place was a complete disappointment. For the price, what you get isn't worth it. There was no real cleanliness or maintenance. I wouldn't give it another chance and would choose somewhere else.

The downstairs area was nice, and breakfast was okay. But the rooms were noisy, cramped, and felt outdated, and the window catch was broken. Someone tried to open my room door during the night while I was trying to sleep. We'd booked two connecting rooms for our family with young children, one with two single beds and the other with a double, but that wasn't available when we arrived. We ended up in separate rooms and had to split up. The advertised guarded parking couldn't fit our car, and the neighborhood seemed questionable, so we weren't comfortable leaving the car outside on the street.

The location was excellent and very quiet, near the Filature and the Park. Rooms are small but have most of what you need. Breakfast was good, and there's private parking for 7 euro a day. Not having a face towel was quite annoying, but overall we had a positive experience.

The reception team was courteous and very helpful, and the location worked well for us. The hotel is pretty standard for an Ibis, but the rooms are cramped, especially the triple, where there’s barely room to move. Plumbing needs attention too, since water backed up. Parking only fits one coach, though you can leave a coach on the road outside if you head off early. Breakfast is basic, and on Sunday there were no eggs because the delivery person was on holiday. The fruit wasn’t replenished during our stay. Some rooms smelled of cigarette smoke despite the no-smoking policy, and there was no air freshener, so I used my perfume.
