Casa Theodora

The basement swimming pool was a real hidden gem. This is a very picturesque hotel, and the staff are genuinely helpful and make sure guests feel comfortable.

The breakfast in the Casa courtyard was a treat, as was the aperitif dinner Myriam hosted one evening, where we got to try some excellent Corsican charcuterie. We stayed 11 nights at Casa Théodora in early September 2018 and loved the place. It's a charming palazzo, with spacious, beautifully decorated period rooms and bedrooms that each feel unique. The bedding was wonderful, and we slept so well with the windows open since nights in Muro were almost silent. Set inland between Calvi and Île Rousse, it was a lovely spot to clear our heads and enjoy a change of scenery. Myriam and her employee Sarah looked after us throughout the stay. They suggested and booked good local restaurants, showed us remarkable places to visit that left us enchanted, and directed us to local producers so we could taste Corsican specialties. We love beautiful landscapes for photography and good food, so we were more than happy. Myriam also gave us excellent tips for finding superb beaches that weren't crowded. We'd recommend Casa Théodora for a charming step back in time to the days of Italian-style palaces.

We were welcomed like "princes" into this regal residence. The restoration is expertly done, the rooms are comfortable, and Myriam and her daughter Alexandra put so much care and love into the place that it feels like stepping back in time. It's a peaceful spot for a holiday and gave us some unimaginable sensations. The location also makes it ideal for reaching the beautiful beaches of Upper Corsica and exploring the picturesque inland area.
