The setting looked so perfect that we stopped even though we hadn't planned to. My crab devilled eggs were delicious and, at 11 euro, good value. My husband's salmon focaccia, though, cost 22 euro and seemed far too expensive. He was searching for the salmon. Then diners at the next table ordered the same dish and got plates piled with salmon plus little extras that his plate didn't have. Still overpriced, but at least theirs was better. The service felt abrupt and stiff from the beginning, which should have been a sign to leave. When the second glass of wine was poured, the bottle was dropped and wine spilled across the table. Luckily it wasn't red, but there was barely an apology. The waitress had understood us earlier when we asked whether she lived nearby and chatted about it, but suddenly couldn't understand English when we asked about the difference in the dishes. We're from New Zealand, not England. What looked set to be one of our loveliest lunches in France was ruined. Don't trust them.

The rooms were spacious and clean, breakfast was lovely, the food was outstanding, and everyone on staff was super nice. We stayed three nights and absolutely loved the place. We'd happily return anytime. Thanks for having us!

Breakfast was good quality at 12 euros, and the village itself was lovely and very quiet, with a nice private castle. Our room was large and had air conditioning. The double beds were comfortable, though the single bed wasn't as good and its pillows were too soft. Service was okay, but we hardly saw anyone because it was Sunday, so we had to call the owner to come over.

We found this charming inn at the last minute and stayed a couple of nights. It was very quiet, and our room had a double bed on the main floor plus two twin beds in a loft. The loft was warm because the air conditioning wasn't working; they did bring fans, but there weren't enough electrical outlets up there either. The shower space in the bathroom was very small, even by French standards. We didn't eat breakfast or dinner there, so I can't comment on the food. It's the only restaurant in the village, though.

When we asked for something savory alongside the usual French sweet croissant and bread, they brought us delicious goat cheese and fresh ham. It was the best breakfast we had during our stay in France. I highly recommend this place!
