The photos don't really capture how nice this hotel is. The renovated, modern rooms are very comfortable, and my family and I are having a wonderful stay. The staff are kind and courteous, and the restaurant food is excellent. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting this beautiful, scenic area. ❤️

The restaurant serves delicious food and the service is friendly. I had the cod with cheese sauce and chorizo, served with a fried rice ball, a fried spring roll and sautéed vegetables. The spring roll was quite charred, so I couldn't tell whether it was meant to be that way or had been overcooked. The dish looked simple, but the seasoning and balance were good. Other menu choices, like the lamb chops, also came recommended. My travelling companions said the squid was very salty. The hotel and restaurant are the only ones on the road outside St Just Ibarre. Walking there can be a challenge for pilgrims because of the uphill slope.

The service was good, and there's a nice view across the basque countryside. Food quality was average overall. The road is busy, though it gets quieter at night.

I enjoyed the foie gras and palombe confit with an excellent Irouleguy red wine. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was nice, and the service was very pleasant and proper.
