Essoyes, Renoir's summer house and studio, is nearby, and you're right in the middle of the Champagne region. We had a really pleasant, comfortable stay, and the rooms were so clean and carefully looked after. Pierre made us feel like old friends from the moment he greeted us. He explained everything, answered our questions, and offered helpful suggestions. He clearly loves what he does, and he's well travelled, knowledgeable, and speaks very good English. I could have chatted with him for days. Breakfast was served in the charming kitchen, with its original floor and lovely pieces of inherited furniture. Everything was delicious: homemade marmalades, organic bread, local cheese with a beautiful taste and texture, plus butter and ham. The coffee was freshly brewed too.

Our hosts were friendly, helpful, and provided excellent service. The historic house and village are lovely, and everything was super clean.

A beautiful, natural setting, and it felt quiet and safe.

What made our weekend with friends unforgettable was the hosts' kindness, thoughtfulness, and warm hospitality. La Promenade is a charming, comfortable house with tasteful decor, right in the town center. After a delicious breakfast, it was easy to head out and explore: the Seine is just steps away, as are the Champagne vineyards, and Mussy and the surrounding area are right there to discover.

We had a peaceful night's sleep in Mussy-sur-Seine after a very warm welcome. Our group used two upstairs bedrooms, one with its own toilet, and shared a shower room. Parking is only a few steps away. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh bread, homemade jams, butter, cheeses, juice, and hot drinks. We arrived early and our hosts let us leave our luggage. At breakfast the next morning, Mr. Wotawa told us about Mussy's history and the Troyes region, past and present. His involvement in restoring the magnificent collegiate church and the town was a delight to hear about. Fishing on the Seine and cooking your catch sounds like a dream? This is the place. If you like hiking, several trails start in Mussy.
