I really enjoyed cycling around the area, and even met Daniel, a local former national racer, who rode along with me. My wife and children were happiest with the horses and rides. Annabelle, the owner, was friendly and helpful, as was her magnificent crew.

We went for lunch on the same day as you, if I remember right, and there were about 200 of us. The hosts treated us very well, and we had a fantastic French repas des Chasseurs, just as we have on these special occasions. If you’re looking for five-star silver service, go somewhere else. And stop complaining that things are “disgusting.” This is rural France, so shame on you for not embracing the lifestyle and culture!

We’ve been coming here for years because it’s a unique place, and the people at the hotel are as good as you could hope for. @Cooper, get your facts straight: the Chase lunch is organized by the local 'chasseurs', not the hotel. They just use the accommodations.

The evening meal is authentic, delicious French home cooking, with six courses. And if you love horses and want to ride through beautiful French countryside, this is the place to visit.
