ibis Styles Nancy Centre Gare

The coffee machine was the one bright spot at breakfast, along with the fresh juice if you like juice. Otherwise, there wasn't much to choose from. The staff weren't very friendly, and the breakfast woman was hard to find. The rest of the hotel felt like a really bad budget stay. The lobby may look stylish, but the rooms, halls and outside areas looked worn out and unrenovated. The layout was stupid, with rooms in different buildings. Our room was cold and so tiny we couldn't even pass each other. No nightstand, no bedside light, nothing. It was so disappointing. We wasted our money, and the stay ruined our evening and morning. I guess the ibis hotel on the other side of the train station, the one that isn't Styles, would be a better choice. Never checking in here again.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the price felt too high for a hotel that looks a little tired. I've stayed in several Ibis Styles hotels, and this one is short on style. The bedrooms are small, and the facilities are oddly separated. It's an OK place for a night or two. The location is fairly central, though it's not a particularly attractive area. There's a private open-air car park. Its entrance is on the right-hand side of the road, to the left of the hotel.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were nice. Breakfast was basic but good. We stopped here overnight on our way back to the UK. So far, this is the only Accor hotel that's charged us to park a motorbike. We asked the staff to put a bag in the fridge, but they put it in the freezer instead. It froze all my cheese and other dairy products, and sadly I had to throw a couple away.

The room and breakfast were decent, pretty standard. We arrived by touring bicycle, and the Acceuil Velo service was very good, with an excellent place to store the bikes. It wasn't some old shed or broom cupboard. The hotel is close to Nancy railway station and has a lovely garden patio with tables and chairs for guests. Handy if you get there before check-in, or just want to sit outside and relax.
