Quality Aparthotel Nancy Centre

The location is good and secure, but our room wasn't set up for four people. We had to work out the sofa bed ourselves, and there weren't enough pillows.

It was freezing at night, around zero degrees, and the air conditioning wasn't working in the living room or one of the bedrooms in our four-person room. After I finally found a receptionist, I was told nothing could be done. The TV remote wouldn't turn the TV on either. When driving up, you have to get out and ring the bell to have the door opened, which is a real nuisance in rain or snow. Staff also often aren't at reception, so you need to find a phone to reach them.

The rooms are roomy and have a kitchenette with everything you need, and the price feels well worth it. It's five minutes from the long central street. Entry is through large locked doors, and parking costs ten euros per night. The staff are very friendly. Communication can be a little tricky, since very few people in France speak good English.

Clean and handy for a night's sleep, but very sparse on character.
