Breakfast was really good, and the hotel felt cozy and welcoming.

The room was spotless, and I really liked the decor. There was a slightly musty smell, though, and in the romantic room we couldn't find anywhere to hang our clothes. I imagine sitting out on the terrace in summer would be lovely. Breakfast was very good.

The bed was comfortable, and the room itself was fine, but the service fell short. I was in Nangis for work and booked a place to sleep easily through Booking.com. I had to leave at 6 am, before breakfast was ready, though a croissant had been left for me. I asked for an invoice by email and was told it would be sent. After that, I followed up three more times by SMS and still never received it. That was disappointing. Getting into the property meant using a key box. I arrived after dark, and there was no light at the entrance, in the courtyard, or on the stairs upstairs, which felt dangerous. The room was split over two levels, with the bathroom and a full wardrobe downstairs and the bed upstairs. There was no power on the terrace, so it was dark, and there was no power downstairs either, which meant I couldn't make coffee.

The hosts were very kind, and breakfast was generous. We only stayed one night because we were in town for a wedding, and didn't get a chance to use the lounge. Our family of four had the "African" room. It was lovely, with comfortable beds and very quiet windows overlooking a pretty little courtyard. The only small snag was parking, since there weren't any reserved spaces. Still, I'd definitely recommend it.
