Campanile Findrol Savoie Leman

The staff were accommodating, friendly, and the receptionist was kind whenever we asked for something. The hotel and room were nice, though not very clean. Breakfast was only almost okay, and the quality wasn’t good. The dishes looked so dirty that we lost our appetite, so if you’re going to eat there, bring your own utensils. Booking.com’s photos showed an orange juicer, but there wasn’t one. I’d also avoid asking for ice. The lady’s nose was running when I asked for some. I pointed it out, and she assured me it wasn’t dripping into my bucket.

Penni at reception was friendly and professional, and gave me all the information I needed for my stay and travels. Check-in and checkout were quick and smooth. I stayed one night. The room was modern, the bed was very comfortable, and the parking was secured.

The reception staff made us feel welcome. Both evenings they lent us a bottle opener and wine glasses for dinner on the little patio, which we really appreciated. We brought our own food the first night, then got pizza from the small pizza truck across the street the next. It made for two lovely, relaxed evenings. We booked Campanile Findrol only a week ahead over a holiday weekend, when hotel prices around the region were extremely high. We were coming from Chamonix and picked Filinges as a base for visiting Geneva, so it worked well for exploring the area by car. The room felt a little too small for three people, though the pull-out extra bed was comfortable. It was clean, and the air conditioning worked fine. The facilities were what you’d expect at this price.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very clean. We were grateful for the AC too, since it was 37 degrees. Breakfast is recommended because there aren’t many other options in the area. Just keep in mind that dining options close around 9pm. We used the hotel as a starting point for the grandes tours des alpes, and that worked well since you can head off in any direction from here.
