The food was a highlight, especially the dinner offering, which is well worth trying for an incredible taste of authentic southern French cooking. The beautiful place belongs to Virginie and William, and we had a very comfortable bed, mountain views, a huge garden, a pool, and a jacuzzi. What an experience 😍

The view of St. Baume from the property is fantastic, and the grounds and scenery are beautiful. We had delicious food and lovely rooms/units, and the whole stay felt so peaceful and relaxing. Our hosts were perfect, helping with everything we needed while staying discreet and giving us privacy. We look forward to coming back.

William made sure we got to the cruise port after a lovely day in Marseille. He drove us into the city, gave us a wonderful tour, and joined us for a delicious lunch at an authentic French restaurant. We even had time to shop before he dropped us off. We were so grateful for all the help from William and Virginie, and wished we could have stayed longer. It felt like we’d made two wonderful friends. This place is a rare find. Thank you both for everything! The kindness started at the airport. Our luggage hadn’t made it onto our flight, and William waited patiently for a very long time, then drove us to the villa and helped us contact the airline. He arranged to pick up our bags that evening, which meant driving us back to the airport, about 40 minutes away. He even came inside and fluently explained why we were there. Since we didn’t speak French, we would have been lost without him. Back at the villa, Virginie had prepared the most delicious authentic meal. We were amazed by her cooking, and breakfast the next morning was wonderful too. Her croissants were amazing! Our rooms were meticulously clean and very well appointed.

The home restaurant served delicious meals in a charming setting, and relaxing beside the outdoor pool was a lovely part of our peaceful stay. Our cozy room looked out over the lush gardens. The family-run atmosphere made us feel like cherished guests, not just visitors. We had a delightful time at Villa Pomponette and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet retreat.

We had a great vacation. The place was really nice and clean, and the pool and jacuzzi were super relaxing after a day of hiking. Breakfast was so tasty, made only with ingredients from the house. Thanks Virginy and Viliam for the warm welcome! 🤗
