Résidence de Vaux

We loved our stay and would happily come back on our next vacation. The manor and garden are breathtaking, and the owners are charming. Our spacious, comfortable room looked out over the garden. When the weather allows, they serve a generous breakfast on the terrace, which was the icing on the cake.

The price felt a little high, but we were completely satisfied with our stay. The rooms are very well furnished, with showers and toilets, and we enjoyed an excellent dinner. The hosts gave us a very warm welcome at this beautiful, peaceful place. The owners are still working on improving the surroundings at their old location. The next day, Madame drove us to the start of our hike, whose route once again turned out longer than planned.

The area is great for hiking in any season. We spent a long weekend at the hotel and got a warm welcome, soon feeling more at home than in a hotel. The food is mostly what the family cooks and eats themselves, made with mainly regional produce and kept simple. If you like local specialties and country-style cooking, you'll enjoy it here.

It was our first time staying in a chambre d’hôtes, and we had a lovely time. The house was beautiful, and our hosts were so welcoming and pleasant. We got to try regional products, and the meals were generous, nothing to complain about. We’d be happy to come back. We also followed our hosts’ tips for places to visit, and the Taillanderie du village was a great choice. We weren’t disappointed.
