We chose this B&B because it’s in central Nantes, so we could spend an evening in the old town. The location was ideal, and having underground parking was a real plus, although getting a large car in and out was extremely difficult. The room was badly decorated, with wood-chip wallpaper and vinyl flooring printed to look like carpet. The beds were comfortable and the sheets clean, but the air-conditioning unit was very noisy. When we came back in the evening, an intruder followed us into the hotel. With no concierge or reception desk, the place felt very vulnerable, and my children were scared. I emailed BnB and heard nothing back for days. There didn’t seem to be any security.

The reception staff gave us a fantastic welcome during a heatwave in France, and they were happy to help with anything. Their care made the holiday much more enjoyable. The room was the right size, clean, with nothing broken, and the price was excellent for the location. We also had no street noise and a secure spot for our bikes. It’s hard to make a stay like this better. The team works to keep standards high, and French hospitality can be proud of these ladies. Thank you.

We had a great time, with lots of places to eat and have fun within walking distance. Breakfast was well worth about 12 euros a day, and the hair products provided in the shower were a lifesaver. Getting to the hotel from the train station was easy by car, rideshare, or tram. There’s no top sheet on the bed, which may bother you if you like one. The desk section also felt a bit wobbly, so take care with it.

The rooms and location are excellent, with fair prices, clean rooms, and a quiet neighborhood. But our arrival was a mess. I got there at 2 pm, the initial check-in time and probably the busiest part of the day, with four customers trying to get in. There was nobody at the front desk, which I find completely unacceptable. The automatic room machine was out of service. I pressed the help button and waited more than ten minutes for an answer. The person on the phone was very unhelpful and told me to wait five minutes and try again, then hung up. I also tried to get the access code by email and SMS, without success. It finally arrived around 30 minutes after 2 pm, time I’d wanted to spend walking around and enjoying the city. If you’re coming here, try to get your access code ahead of time, or make sure someone will be at the desk when you arrive, so you don’t waste time with a broken machine like we did.

The room was tiny, as was the bathroom, and there was rubbish on the balcony outside the window. It looked over the tram line, so the noise was relentless. Early in the morning, glass bottles were collected too, leaving me with absolutely no sleep. With all that street and tram noise, relaxing was impossible. The shower kept swinging between warm, cold, hot, then warm again. There was dark pubic hair in the shower, and the thermostat seemed to be just decoration. The room was unbearably hot, but opening the window wasn’t an option because of the noise. And who decided this counted as “centre,” Ryanair? It’s far from central!
