Hôtel Coeur de Loire

The garden and breakfast area were lovely, and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. We had a really nice stay. It’s a little outside the city centre, but public transport links are great.

The garden was a lovely place to return to after sightseeing, with loungers and deck chairs. When the weather was hot, I could even eat breakfast outside in the stunning garden. The buffet was all very fresh, and the Pain au Chocolat was the best I’ve ever had. Breakfast itself was exceptional. This lovely, quiet B&B is about 15 minutes from the centre of Nantes. You can walk there or take the C2 bus, which stops two minutes away. The typically French exterior has red shutters opening onto the street or garden, and the interior is beautifully designed. My room faced the street, but I heard no noise. Tea and coffee were provided, the shower was amazing, and there were plenty of pillows. The owners were pleasant and recommended local restaurants a 5-10 minute walk away. I arrived early, but it wasn’t a problem. Communication was excellent, and they emailed me a code so I could get into my room early. A two-star place that feels more like five. Wonderful stay, a little haven.

The owner was lovely and shared lots of helpful information, including a sheet of local and central restaurants. Our room had a garden view, good furnishings and bathroom, and was very clean. There’s also a safe, fridge, and kettle. You can walk into town in about 20 minutes or catch a bus or tram. The place is just outside the centre, which suited us, especially with parking being so expensive. They clearly put a lot of love and care into it, and I’d go back without hesitation.

I got a lot of work done in the garden during my stay in Nantes, and it stayed cool and shady all day during a hot week. My room had a fan and a lovely garden view, and was immaculate. The breakfast was delicious with lots of variety, and the other guests were considerate and discreet. The owners were warm and helpful. I loved this hotel and highly recommend it.
