Hotel F1 Nantes est Porte de Ste Luce

I was happy with my stay for the price and the kind of hotel it is. The people there were nice and courteous. I arrived in Nantes very late, but check-in was so quick I was in my room within five minutes. I had a clean room with a shower in it. The next morning reception knocked on my door so I wouldn't miss breakfast, which I really appreciated. I was staying at the F1 hotel before continuing my trip.

The facilities looked modern and clean, but my room was unbearably hot, over 31°C, with no fan or air conditioning, so I couldn't sleep. There were hygiene problems too: I couldn't find a washbasin or anything to sanitize my hands after using the toilets.

Free parking was a plus, and the front desk staff were friendly. There was also a good bar nearby for the evening. Beyond that, the room served as a place to stop for one night, nothing more. Breakfast was just bread, butter and jam, hot drinks, and some juice. With shared bathrooms, I wouldn't consider it suitable for couples or families with young children. It seems better suited to truck drivers or budget travelers who need somewhere to rest while on the road.

The rooms are clean and tidy, and the prices compare well with other hotels nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is quite isolated, though, so you'll need to walk if you want to buy anything. There was some dampness in the room that made it uncomfortable at first. Opening the windows for an hour or two helped.
