ibis Nantes Centre Gare Sud

I needed somewhere in Nantes at short notice, near the train station, and someone suggested Ibis. It worked out really well. My room was neat, with a view of the castle, and the staff were helpful and friendly, even in the early morning. A good base for visiting the nearby gardens and touring the château.

We found the room clean, comfortable, and quiet, with everything we needed. The reception team were kind and helpful throughout. The woman at the desk was especially friendly and always smiling, and the man who helped us was very nice and professional too. We had a really good stay and would definitely recommend the hotel.

At 11:00 PM on August 13, 2025, while my wife and I were resting, another guest opened our room with his own key. The hotel had assigned that same room to two guests. It was a serious breach of our privacy and showed a major failure in security procedures. What worried me just as much was the response. Nobody apologized; staff only said it was "a mistake." That lack of professionalism and empathy was unacceptable. This experience has shaken my trust in the chain and its processes for keeping guests safe. I don't recommend this hotel.

The staff were so pleasant and their conduct was great. I would choose to come back and recommend the place to others.
