The Mercure Nantes centre Gare exceeded everything I expected. The rooms were elegant and comfortable, and the service and staff's attentiveness were beyond anything I've experienced, even at many 5-star hotels. You feel cared for, not just served. Every detail seemed excellent. Truly unforgettable, and a new standard for luxury and hospitality.

The late checkout until 5pm made our one-night stay feel much longer and really helped the short break work for us. The common areas were lovely, and the staff friendly and accommodating. Our family room had a double bed and a converted sofa bed, which was more comfortable than expected. There wasn't much headroom, but the view from the window was outstanding. Once we found the garage entrance, parking was reasonable and easy. It made the visit more convenient. The hotel is easy to drive to and close to the town centre, so we got the best of both worlds. We had no real problems, though the room didn't have a full set of towels for all three guests. I'm sure the staff would have sorted it out, but we managed without. The air conditioning just about kept up and was quite noisy, although it was a very hot spell. Late at night, I might feel a little on guard walking back from the city centre. We were very happy with our choice. I wouldn't give every part 5/5, but all together it was better than the individual parts might suggest, and deserving of 5 stars overall.

The room was lovely and had everything we needed for our Saturday night stay. Breakfast was what brought the experience down. We spent about 30-40 minutes there without any bread, and the service felt chaotic. It was busy, and the staff seemed a bit disorganized, though I’m not sure whether they were short-handed. They appeared more focused on setting up the outdoor tables than looking after the guests. The food itself wasn’t bad, but breakfast didn’t feel relaxing.

We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and both were excellent. The staff were warm and helpful, while our spacious room had a really comfortable bed. Getting there was easy, whether arriving by car or from the airport. We’d definitely come back.

The restaurant dishes were very good, and breakfast had a good-quality international selection. Our room was nicely designed, with a good bathroom and quiet, effective air-conditioning. The staff were helpful and friendly too.
