Patricia’s antiques were my favorite part, and I even left with a few additions for my own collection. She and Larggo were caring, flexible, and fun to spend time with. The pool and backyard were a treat, and breakfast often came with a thoughtful local surprise. The side bedroom got a bit warm at night. A mosquito net on the window would make it easier to get some air in. I just left the door open instead 🙂 Easy 5/5, and I hope to visit again. Thanks, Patricia!

Patricia’s breakfasts were a real highlight, with a whole table full of food, eggs from her chickens, and different cheeses each day. She’s from the area and gave us restaurant tips for Narbonne and nearby towns that really delivered. And then there’s Larggo, the German Shepherd. Patricia said he was as sweet as he was big, and she was right. He’s biiiiiiiiiiig. I wanted to take him home, or better yet, take the whole house. We had a whole floor to ourselves, including a massive bathroom, and could use the main salon and the generous grounds. The place has so much character, from shelves of books to brass cigarette holders and ornate champagne glasses. Patricia collects antiques, and you can see her eye for detail throughout the decorating. The photos had already made me hopeful, but the real place has a kind of magic you can’t get from pictures. Le Jardin de LaCoste feels real and has a story you only discover by staying there. I know this review is long, but it’s not just because four kinds of goat cheese bribed me. If so, I’m Ronald Reagan. P.S. Take more photos than I did.

Patricia was welcoming and the service was excellent. The house was clean and comfortable, with good parking and a really good breakfast. The dog and chickens were friendly too. 5/5, I’ll visit again.
