Les Chambres des Barques

We had a great chat with the owners, who were really helpful, and they even gave us WD-40, thanks again :) The hotel is right in central Narbonne, with a cozy kitchen downstairs. The rooms are incredible, super clean after renovation, and the old walls still give the interior its character. An absolute gem, definitely stay here if you come to Narbonne.

Nearly two days later, the owner messaged me saying I had forgotten to add the letter A after the keycode. That was a lie, and he kept arguing with me. We’d called and messaged him through different channels while we were stuck outside, but got no help. Thankfully, we found somewhere else to stay in Narbonne, even though it was getting late. After ten hours of travel, we arrived at the main door around 8 pm. Another customer was there too and had already tried everything without getting in. Our code was correct: the lock clicked open, but the door itself stayed locked from the inside. We tried ringing the bell, entering the code with and without the letter after the number, and using the physical key from the key box. Nothing worked.

The room was spacious and clean, with a little patio beside it, and the bed was comfortable. We also got a warm welcome. The hotel’s in a perfect spot, close to the river and the main attractions, and we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed last night and found the place really comfortable. Great location, too!
