Du coq à l'âme

The house looks cute from outside, and the surrounding areas are pleasant, but inside it needs updating. For what we paid, that felt a bit shameful. There were balls of hair on the floor, cobwebs behind the bed, in the high corners, on the walls and in the bathroom, plus a moldy fridge. The towels were small and smelly, the shower kept cutting off the hot water, and the toilet made a crazy noise when flushed. The bathroom also smelled damp and musty. Unfortunately I can't think of anything positive. I wouldn't recommend it unless you really like very, very rustic places.

For a very low price, this is a great option for a short stay. I had a wonderful time at Solene's. The rooms are simple, but charming, and she was caring and attentive to what her guests needed.

The house is peaceful, and the cool night air made for a good night's sleep. We were warmly welcomed, and the room, shower and toilet were clean. The homemade jams were excellent.

We found the €52 a night a bit steep for what was offered, especially since online it was listed at €36 and we booked by phone. Still, it was a pleasant place to rest and shower while we were travelling. The hostess welcomed us warmly, and the accommodation was clean, with a new bathroom. It's on the ground floor of the owners' house, with a private entrance that gives some independence. There's a living room with a dining table and tea, two guest bedrooms, and a bathroom. One bedroom has its own separate bathroom, accessed through the common area. The hosts have a dog, but it doesn't interact directly with guests. The room had internet access and a television with Prime Video. A Carrefour Market nearby, by the roadside, stays open until 8 pm, handy for last-minute shopping.
