Domaine de Bellevue - Restaurant & Spa

The countryside setting is lovely and the rooms are nice, but service let us down in several ways. There was hammering from construction on a small wooden cabin all morning on Friday and Saturday. I guess it’s meant to be another amenity, but we hadn’t been told about it. The spa also caught us off guard. Nobody explained at check-in that guests could reserve it for private use. When we asked about going in mid-afternoon, there was nothing available until 8:30 p.m., and no staff member to look after it the next morning, Saturday. So we missed out. Ask about booking as soon as you arrive. Housekeeping asked on the first day whether we needed towels or anything else. I said no and mentioned we’d be out in an hour so they could come in. They agreed, but never came back. The restaurant is really nice, though not especially suited to children, and that could use a heads-up. The place has a lot going for it, but these service issues need work. Housekeeping could be better too.

We visited in the off-season, when the prices were extremely competitive, and found the rooms cozy, modern, and very clean. Parking was convenient, breakfast was great, and the staff were super friendly, even if communicating in English was a little challenging. I rarely give five stars because there’s usually something that could be improved, but this one really deserves them.

We spent a special night at this magical little cottage-like hotel, tucked into a lovely natural setting. The food was wonderful, and the service was great.

A peaceful, beautiful spot with welcoming, friendly staff. Our order arrived on time, and the food was delicious. A really pleasant moment, and an affordable treat.
