Haras Du Gazon

We had a great time wandering the lovely grounds, spotting cheeky Coypu at the lake, and swimming in the beautiful rivers nearby. Our group was two families and Granny, five adults, four children, and a baby, and the converted stable gite worked perfectly for everyone. The rooms were big and comfortable, and the children's attic dormitory felt like something from Harry Potter. There's also a huge partly indoor pool, a tennis court, and a games room the kids loved. We had a wonderful week exploring the area.

The owners made us feel very welcome and had everything we could need. We loved the gardens and spacious, comfortable gite, which was well equipped too. There are bikes to borrow and a games room with pool and table tennis, plus a large covered pool. You can spot coyapu by the lake and see the horses in their stables or out in the fields. I'd definitely recommend the gites to friends and family.

We got lucky with gorgeous weather and spent some lovely days by the pool, with plenty of great sun loungers to use. We stayed in Baloubet at Haras du Gazon and especially liked the balcony and roomy bedrooms. We also took trips to nearby Falaise and Caen. A really wonderful week.

The grounds are gorgeous, with flowers, trees and a big fish pond to explore, and it was such a peaceful place to slow down and relax. I don't usually leave reviews, but after a week at Haras du Gazon I had to. Everything was so well looked after from the moment we arrived at the gates. The gites are comfortable, clean and well equipped, finished to a high standard while still keeping the character of the old buildings. We stayed in Double Esprit with six adults and three children, and there was room for everyone. The shared pool and games room were great additions to the holiday. Anne and Tim were friendly and attentive while staying in the background, so we could enjoy ourselves without feeling watched. The estate is in lovely Normandy countryside near Neuvy au Holme and Ribardon, with Falaise, Argentan and Caen all within easy reach. I couldn't have asked for a more peaceful spot, and I can't recommend these gites enough. You won't regret staying here.
