The gîte is up in the hills near the Spanish border, with an incredible view and hiking trails starting close by. Just keep in mind that parking is at the village entrance, then it’s about a 100-meter walk up steep streets to get there. Our room was pleasant and had a little terrace with a table and two chairs. There’s also a swimming pool. Isabelle made us feel welcome, and breakfast, which was included in our gift voucher stay, was simple and good. Dinner wasn’t included.

These are gîtes, not a hotel restaurant, so go expecting to be self-sufficient and not fussed about frills. We didn’t have any meals there. I’m surprised by the one-star reviews. The place has a lovely countryside feel, and there are good hikes nearby. The decor is colorful, rustic, and a bit bohemian. The little stone terraces in front of the gîtes for one or two people are really cute. There’s also a larger building for groups, where many more people can stay. It’s the sort of place where you can end up having some nice conversations.
