Nimes is stunning, with incredible history in the area and wonderful locals. We needed help translating a few times, and people were lovely about it. The hotel gave us restaurant recommendations; we tried three and weren't disappointed. La Table Du 2 was especially good, with a stunning arena view, fantastic staff, and amazing food. The hotel was a great base for coming by train from London, just a short walk from the station, where we also picked up hire cars for a day trip to Uzes. Our room was a little tired, but very clean and large. The location was perfect. We already look forward to spending more time in the area.

We absolutely loved this hotel. It's central to everything, with a bus stop right outside, the train station a couple of minutes away on foot, and a beautiful park across the road. The room was perfect, and the small kitchenette and fridge came in handy. Staff were friendly and helpful. My French is very limited, but they were accommodating and spoke English much better than I speak French. I'd highly recommend it.

We had an awful stay. The location is good and the rooms are big, but the service and equipment, including the heater and toilet seats, weren't in good shape. The heating didn't work, and although the staff were eager, they couldn't help. They also forgot to tell us to keep the first parking ticket, so we paid 25 instead of 19 Euro. Staff didn't help or offer a solution.

The room and location were fab. We arrived late and rather dishevelled after a long day, and reception recommended a local restaurant and even called ahead to reserve a table. Excellent service.

The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, a short walk from the station and near the arena, other monuments, and restaurants. We'd definitely stay here again next time we're in Nimes.
