Campanile PRIME - Nîmes Centre

I liked the motel-style layout, with the corridors outside, and the room was very nice. It had a comfortable bed, several pillows, a huge TV, and a mini-fridge. Everything looked well kept, with security doors and cameras. I parked right outside for free and felt the car was secure. Markets are across the road, and the location is great. The shower needed maintenance, though we managed to use it. The key had already been prepared when we arrived, which was a nice touch. I highly recommend the place.

For one night on the road, this basic, rather old hotel did what I needed, and the price was good. It sits in a park, with several places to eat nearby. The chain seems to be upgrading its hotels, but this one hasn't had that upgrade yet. I was really annoyed to find the advertised EV chargers were broken, and the receptionist didn't seem interested at all.

The receptionist's response to our complaints was impeccable. She apologized fully and offered us breakfast, and the breakfast was excellent: high-quality pastries, ham, and cheese in a bright, comfortable dining area. Unfortunately, there was plenty to complain about. Our room was small, though the bed was large, and it was stifling when we arrived in late April after a day when the temperature had reached 26°. The air conditioning wasn't working, and I was amazed to be told they don't switch it on that early in the year. The bath still had the previous guest's hair in it, the light kept flickering, and the TV didn't work. For a hotel advertised as three stars, paper cups in the tea kit were a surprise, as were walls that seemed to be made of the same material. The thin walls may be hard to fix, but with more attention to detail this could have deserved a three-star listing. Thanks to the gentleman who gave us the excellent breakfast.

There was a friendly staff and parking, plus a TV and Wi-Fi. It's a nice little room with what you need, including a king-size bed and an extra bed underneath, and a cute little bathroom. It's right next to Mcdonalds and also has a Resturant on site. Breakfast can be booked too. I love it here.
