B&B Hotel Niort Sud Venise Verte

With a supermarket, restaurants and other handy places right nearby, the location works well for me. I travel fairly regularly between Southern and Northern Europe, and this hotel sits roughly halfway through France. The value is amazing, pets are allowed for a small fee, and check-in is available around the clock. I've stayed twice already and plan to come back whenever I'm travelling through France.

The woman at the desk quickly moved us when our room was beside the drilling from major renovations. The noise was horrible, but our new room was very quiet. It's south of Niort, within easy walking distance of grocery shops, and the staff were helpful. The room was fine for an overnight stay, with a very comfortable bed, though the pillows were too thick and hard, so I ended up using a bath towel instead. Breakfast had a very nice selection, and we could bring our dog into the dining room.

We'd stayed at another hotel from this chain before and had a great experience there, but this one was a disappointment, so our experience is 50/50. The room was dirty, and the shower wasn't great, especially the very dirty curtain. It could be very good value for money, but it wasn't on this occasion.
