Le Central Hôtel

The staff were super nice, and breakfast was tasty. The bed was comfy, everything was very clean, and the place felt like a sweet deal for the price. It's an easy walk from the station, with several places to eat nearby.

For €43 through Booking.com, this was really good value, and the €8 breakfast was quite adequate. It's a modest little hotel, but clean, with a friendly welcome. My room was small but functional, and the bathroom was practical. The rooms aren't fully soundproof, but I had earplugs with me, so it worked out perfectly. Very satisfied.

I knew it was cheap, but the sheets should still be changed. I found black hairs and eyelashes inside the duvet cover, and on white bedding you can see them straight away. It was disgusting. I slept in my clothes.

After reading the fairly negative reviews over dinner, we raised them with the receptionist the next morning. They said the hotel had housed migrants in the past, but no longer does. We had found the room, number 2, pleasant, spacious, and clean, near the center on the main square. We'd booked at the last minute by calling Central Hotel, and the phone service was very courteous; no deposit was required. The receptionist also pointed us toward a restaurant. Breakfast was €8, the staff were pleasant, and the service was excellent. It's a nice little hotel and well located. I'd recommend it, though there's always room to improve, depending on the cost.
