We found this place online by chance while looking for a stopover, and what a lovely surprise. The hotel has been tastefully restored while keeping its centuries-old character, and we got a very warm welcome. For dinner, the Quercy couscous was a real treat, with vegetables, couscous grains, and three kinds of duck, quite different from the traditional version. The cheese tart was excellent too. Breakfast was classic, good quality, and fairly priced. Highly recommended.

A really difficult experience. We arrived at La Bastidie at 6 PM after a long drive, only to be told by the owner that the accessible room we'd booked six months earlier, clearly specifying a wheelchair, wasn't available because the lift had been out of order since the day before. She was rather evasive and said she could at least have let us know that morning, which might have given us time to find other accessible accommodation. There was no apology at all. We've filed a complaint with the regional tourist office. A serious ordeal for anyone with reduced mobility.

The breakfast was generous, and the manager and staff were so kind. The welcome felt genuinely warm. It's a beautiful hotel in a great spot, and we'd happily recommend it. Looking forward to coming back.
