La Diligence

The building is beautiful, and it's peaceful enough to get some rest. The room and bathroom were clean and decent. It's a bit isolated, though, so you'll need the car to go out for dinner. The phone reception felt curt and rushed, while the welcome on arrival was fairly friendly. Breakfast was very basic and not especially interesting, about what you'd make at home. We got no advice about the region. We're customers, not hosts! I'd recommend it for the location alone.

We came away with a fantastic memory of the area, from the caves and lake to Collonges-la-Rouge and the Château de Turenne. The place itself was excellent too, with a beautiful view and rooms that were both charming and spotlessly clean. We had dinner there one evening and loved the simple, delicious food in such a lovely setting. The owners are welcoming as well. I highly recommend it.

La Diligence is a charming bed and breakfast on the heights above the pretty village of Noaihlac, just 5 km from Collonges-la-Rouge and Meyssac. The recently renovated rooms are tastefully decorated, with their own entrance, Wi-Fi, parking, and a breathtaking view of Turenne and its castle in the distance. Martin and Laetitia are a warm, smiling, kind, and energetic young couple who help guests get to know the region. There are plenty of walks and things to explore nearby, from listed villages, caves, abbeys, monasteries, and old buildings to hiking, food, and culture. The area is full of discoveries. Martin or Laetitia carefully prepare excellent meals for the guest table with local produce, always paying attention to detail and wanting guests to be happy. Their children, Charlotte and Basile, are adorable and bring extra life to the place. A lovely base for exploring while staying comfortable and enjoying the gentle pace of life. Many thanks.

We spent two nights here over All Saints' Day using a Wonderbox gift voucher and were welcomed very warmly. Breakfast is generous and shared with the other guests at the time arranged the day before. The room is on the small side but comfortable, with Wi-Fi included and no television. The house has only three rooms, so you can hear the neighbors a little, though it's quite manageable if everyone is considerate. We couldn't try the communal dining option, and out of season it's best to plan ahead to find somewhere to eat. The former coaching inn is beautiful, clean, and overlooks the valley from a quiet spot. It's a peaceful place to stay, and a handy base for Collonges-la-Rouge, Padirac, and Rocamadour. A very pleasant stay with a relaxed feel.
