We never managed to check in. The front door wouldn't open, and nobody from customer support helped. They sent photos from someone else's check-in, apparently, showing a dry window, while we were getting soaked in the rain all day. We finally gave up. Customer support came across as hostile and dishonest. Our credit card company voided the charge. Terrible service, avoid staying here if you can.

We'd only planned on two nights at first, then chose to extend our stay. Lovely place and hosts. Definitely recommend it!

The cats and trampoline were a big hit with our children, and we all loved the food, which was far better than we expected. We spent a wonderful two weeks in the cottage at Manoir du Chêne. Florence and Eric made us feel so welcome, and the centuries-old trees made the place memorable. We highly recommend a stay here.

Michael's kindness and warm welcome made this stay enjoyable. He was always willing to sort out the small problems, including a dishwasher that only works on its lower section and a washer-dryer that doesn't dry. The manor itself is magnificent, and the bedding is very high quality. One thing to know is that the owner's family lives in the other building across from the pool, so you share the property with them. That isn't mentioned in the listing, which also keeps Michael, who handles the rental, informed of our movements. If you don't like feeling "at home"... The place is beautiful, but Michael's helpfulness and exceptional kindness are what earn it the fourth star.

The owner was extremely rude, and the place itself was pretty mediocre. Guest comfort didn't seem to matter to him, just the money. I strongly wouldn't recommend it.
