Bikes were safely kept in the garage, and we could even have cleaned them before putting them away. The hosts were friendly, attentive, and enthusiastic, offering local tours and useful advice. Their passion for this magnificent 18th-century residence comes through as they tell its history. Each room is impeccably clean and decorated with objects steeped in history, with carefully thought-out details and treasures that would delight lovers of antiques. The large cottage sleeps 11. Downstairs there’s a spacious, well-equipped kitchen where everyone can eat together, a large room with a billiard table, and a restroom. Our hosts were quick to provide anything we needed. Upstairs are two bedrooms for three people each, with beautiful antique linens, plus a bathroom and toilet. The second floor has two more lovely bedrooms, one for two and one for three, and another bathroom and toilet. From the moment you pass through the front gate, the hosts make you feel at home. We also loved the decorated shared courtyard and the flower-filled shared garden, made for relaxing. A beautiful place to discover!
