Francois offers private tours of the Normandy bunkers and beaches, including behind-the-scenes stops, at a reasonable price. He has also collected an amazing amount of memorabilia from the beaches over the years. He speaks English, and Marie is learning too. The B&B was comfortable and lovely, with beautiful grounds, and the owners were wonderful. We visited in July 2014 and would happily return again and again! 😊

The house was good, though a few areas felt a bit dirty and tired. Apparently the rain caused the electrics to trip twice.

The owner speaks good English and has great stories, and there's a sweet dog. His wife handles breakfast and the rest, speaking French and just a few useful words of English. Breakfast ranged from croissants and muesli to local products, plus coffee, of course. It's a handy Normandy base along the way to Omaha Beach. You can walk to Wiederstandsnest 60 for views over Omaha, or take a shorter, half-hour walk to a quiet pebble beach with a little waterfall. The old building has been renovated, with surprisingly large rooms and excellent beds, at least on the first floor, and a nice bathroom upstairs. The wooden floors carry some noise, though people mostly come here to sleep. There's no TV in the rooms, which also helps keep things quiet.

Valérie and Éric welcomed us so warmly during our overnight stay. They restored this beautiful 300-year-old house and like to share its story, along with photos showing the history of the place. Our room was immaculate and decorated in pale tones. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The house is peaceful and well situated, not far from the sea and Port-en-Bessin. A very good place.
