My son and I were talking about good food yesterday and remembered the dinners we had here in May 2025 with friends. We tried the menu a lot, and every time the food was a surprise and beyond delicious. Everything felt special, and the service was glorious. Since then we've tried to find a good soupe de poisson à la rouille, but the ones we've had were only ok, never as great as here. I have such fond memories of our French trip to Arromanches and this place. Can't wait to eat here again!

Arromanches in late September was quiet, which suited us, and the hotel sits right by the beach. Both windows in our very nice room looked out over the water. The attached restaurant was fantastic. You can walk up the hill to a really good D-Day installation with a fantastic 360 film. We also drove through the French countryside to have dinner in Bayeux a couple of nights, about 10-15 minutes away. We'd planned to stay in Bayeux, but there were almost no rooms left when we booked, so we zoomed out on the map and chose Arromanches and Hotel De La Marine. By dumb luck we ended up there, and we're so glad. The people at reception were terrific, friendly, kind, and helpful.

The sea view room was wonderful, and the hotel staff, from reception to the restaurant, were very professional. The location is easily the best part. The one thing I didn't like was how many flies and mosquitoes came in when I opened the window, so I had to keep it shut.

We popped into the hotel bar for an Irish coffee, and it was delicious, smooth, and perfectly balanced. The liqueur was great, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. A wonderful spot to visit, and we'll definitely come back!
