Villa kahlo Omaha Beach

The location is very good, but the stay had a lot of problems. Communication with the landlord was poor: after a long drive, we arrived to find nobody there to hand over the key. We eventually found the hiding place after searching. We expected breakfast because it was a B&B, but making our own meant dealing with a lot of shortcomings. There were just two dirty knives, a wooden takeaway fork, no spoons, unwashed wine glasses, and only one water glass. For two people over three nights, one large towel and one small towel were nowhere near enough, especially since both were very worn. There was only about a third of a roll of toilet paper. The place was poorly cleaned, the bed was only so-so comfortable, and the sheets were far too small, pulling the mattress up at the corners and disturbing our sleep. Towels and toilet paper were brought later. We told the landlord about all the problems and never got a response, not even an apology. A neighbor said the landlord probably lives in Bordeaux. Apart from the location, I can't recommend this accommodation.

After an eight-hour drive, I got there as it was getting dark and found the place locked, with nobody around and no message. I had no idea what to do, and my phone connection was poor. It took me two hours in the dark to find somewhere to stay in Cherbourg. I called the owner the next morning. She asked whether I’d received an email with instructions, but I hadn’t. She said I should have called. Very poor management and customer service, and not recommendable at all.

It starts off as a quiet spot, but there aren’t many amenities. There was no soap for the shower, and the drain was clogged after someone showered.

A nice place in a great location.
