It’s peaceful here, and the surrounding nature is lovely. The owner is a calm, pleasant, down-to-earth woman, and I hope the place does well. But the grounds are covered in rubbish, with broken vehicles around, and feel almost abandoned. The photos make everything look neat and beautiful, which isn’t what you find in person. With some work to tidy it up, this place could be incredible.

Our stay was just what we needed for one night on the way, and the property was clean. The owners were incredibly kind and helped sort out a serious problem with our car so we could continue the journey. We sometimes used Google Translate to communicate, which worked fine. Great people, and I’d definitely recommend it.

I paid £100 for two adults, and there wasn’t even a towel included. The room was tiny and smelled strange, the toilet was broken, and there was no table or kettle, tea, or coffee. Avoid!

The location worked perfectly for exploring St Omer and le Marais. The lady of the house was friendly. Breakfast was fine, though nothing memorable.

The owners were so kind, and breakfast was good. The rooms were comfortable too. It’s about 25 minutes from Calais ferry harbour.
