We should have researched the drive better. This place is way up in the mountains, and getting there in a regular car is difficult. Google Maps sent us down the mule cart road to save time, and that caused a lot of trouble. It’s a sheer cliff, and we nearly died. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. There’s no air conditioning in the rooms, which wasn’t great after all that sweating on the road. And if grasshoppers are your thing, there are loads of them here.

Quiet and peaceful, with lovely hosts and a lovely setting. We stayed briefly while exploring the area, and it was well worth the uphill drive from Lake Geneva into the mountains. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

The view from this little place tucked away in the Swiss mountains is amazing, and it was well worth the drive. I stayed here while en route, and the hotel felt familiar, with exceptional staff and good food. They deserve 10 stars, though I can only give five.
