Maisonneuve

We had a spacious, comfortable room, and breakfast included homemade items. The owner was very friendly and knew the region well.

Breakfast was juice, homemade jams, croissants, and fresh bread, but we’d hoped to eat around 10 am. Our host had work to do, so we ended up having it at 9 am. The breakfast room is directly below the guest rooms, which are at the top of a staircase in a quiet section of the building, so you hear the first guests getting up. Our family room was spacious and clean, though the double bed mattress was worn. The shower room was nicely decorated, but there was no shower gel or shampoo, which surprised me. We booked a stay for two through a Wonderbox weekend getaway package for €100. The owner couldn’t provide the half-board meal normally included, so he didn’t charge extra for our 10-year-old son as compensation. We didn’t really get along with our host, which was a shame.

We had a wonderful stay in a superb cottage. The owners kept a low profile, and everything was impeccable apart from the sofa, which is indeed a little worn. Thank you!

We were warmly welcomed and had a comfortable room in a magnificent setting. Breakfast was generous. I highly recommend it.
