A good, traditional French bed and breakfast in a peaceful spot, with excellent Wi-Fi. There’s a swimming pool and boules too.

Breakfast was ready at the time we asked for, and there was plenty of it. The welcome was warm, parking was easy, and the rooms, bathrooms, and toilets were very clean and already heated, with towels provided. Booking was straightforward, and we called to check that pets were allowed. We warmly recommend it.

The meal was a real highlight: sincere, unpretentious cooking with local ingredients, full of flavor. We started with toast topped with goat cheese and spices, alongside local white wine, then had lightly smoked vegetable soup with balsamic and crème fraîche. Chicken supremes could have used a little jus, but were cooked well, and the broccoli and mushroom gratin was sublime. Local red wine accompanied the main course, and pear sorbet with homemade whipped cream and coffee finished things off. After dinner, we enjoyed a toast with Rémy and hearing about his passions and plans. Breakfast was simple, generous, and excellent too. My wife and I had booked one night at Les Roberderies, a bed and breakfast on the border of Maine-et-Loir and Sarthe. The property is magnificent, with a large meadow where three Shetland ponies play, a huge farmhouse left unrestored, and an expansive garden with a pool, ping-pong table, and place to relax. Rémy, 30, greeted us with a firm handshake and spoke beautifully. We had a restful night and would recommend discovering both the place and its young host.

Fields of buttercups, three beautiful Shetland ponies, outdoor games, a pool, and frogs and crickets in the evening made this an idyllic place to get away. Bruno and Jamila welcomed us with open arms, and our stay at Les Roberderies felt wonderfully refreshing. The communal dinner on our first night brought everyone together, and we had some lovely conversations. Marie & Freddy from Poissy (78) were our favorite guests of the trip, and we shared some special moments with them. We highly recommend this place. Annaïk & Eduardo
