Kyriad Nuits-Saint-Georges

My room was in a sort of dependence, but it was easy, clean, and good. I always enjoy having a pool, and after about 7 hours on the road, a splash was so refreshing.

Fine for a night on the way to our destination, but it's showing its age. The rooms need an overhaul: the lamp wasn't attached properly, an outlet didn't work, half the airco panel worked, and there was mold in the shower. I don't think it's worth the high season price.

The staff were friendly, the bed was great, and breakfast was nice. Just right for a stop during a long drive. Merci.

The staff followed the Corona rules, which was very nice, and breakfast was OK. Still, for less than at the Kyriad in Beaune, that hotel had more to offer, including scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast bread. Here, the rooms were small, with a 1.40 cm bed, and the bathroom was tiny. In rooms 28 and 30, the dirty brown silicone joints around the bath urgently need replacing. I don't like the "Georgette" style or the prices that come with it. Dinner menus cost 25 and 37 euro, and ordering "a la carte" costs even more. The dishes were nicely served and tasted OK, but there wasn't much food, and there was no salt or pepper on the table. The wine list is complete but extremely expensive, with Riesling at 37 euro and standard rosé at 30 to 40 euro. The same wine goes for 12 to 15 euro in restaurants around Mont Ventoux. Maybe that's why there are few bottles on the dinner tables and lots of water, which isn't cheap either. It looked good at FIRST SIGHT, but it is NOT. For 160 euro for two small rooms and another 160 euro for four dinners, including 1 liter of sparkling and 1 beer, we got too little for the money. Next time WE will pay 5 euro more and stay at the Kyriad in Beaune, eat at the Buffalo Grill, the pizzeria, or the chinese buffet, or choose the IBIS in Nuit St Georges or Beaune.
