We slept well, and the bed was comfortable, though it sat very low to the floor, which is why I gave the room four stars. The rooms are large and very nice, and the owner speaks English. Breakfast was fresh fruit, yoghurt, croissants, rolls, juice and tea. There’s a short drive to Peronne, where there’s a good choice of restaurants.

The town itself isn’t much to look at, but that didn’t matter for a stop on a long drive or a few days visiting the Somme district. It’s great value for money and I’d highly recommend it. The rooms and garden are modern and recently renovated, and the owner is kind and speaks English. Breakfast is good, and you can park your car behind the locked gate in the garden.

The owner gave us a really warm welcome, and our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was a letdown, though. There was no fresh bread, and it felt too small for someone who really likes breakfast: yogurt, milk, toast, fruit in plastic, and cornflakes. Fresh produce would’ve made the experience better.
