Le Clos du Papoune

We first stayed at Le Clos du Papoune in 2018, and the house has had many improvements since then. It feels fresh and well cared for. The outdoor dining area is lovely and sheltered from the heat, so we used it all day. It’s an easy walk to central Nyons, but the house itself is quiet and peaceful. We’ll certainly be back.

The kids had a great time in the pool, playing tennis and catching insects, and the weather was lovely. There was so much to enjoy at the villa that we didn't have time to explore this beautiful region. It's in a calm, convenient area, and grocery shopping was quick. We really appreciated the excellent care, including Marie at the villa, the hammock that arrived during our stay, the heated pool at the promised comfortable temperature, and the quiet surroundings. Pierre is an olive producer and sells oil, table olives, tapenade, and other delicious olive products. He talks about them with real passion and even organizes tours of his olive grove. Els and Pierre were delightful, welcoming hosts, always ready with useful tips on things to see and do, and good restaurants in Nyons and nearby. We had a wonderful week at the well-equipped, tastefully decorated gîte, making the most of the swimming pool and barbecue in the beautiful warm weather. We’ll definitely be back. Seb & Pat

Els made us feel so welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. The house and garden are spacious, the pool is large, and everything was in perfect order. The kitchen was clean and fully equipped, with everything from board games to pool toys provided. Nyons is lively and easy to explore on foot, with restaurants, a bakery, and a pharmacy nearby. A department store is just a five-minute drive away, and the Thursday market is well worth a visit. This holiday home is fantastic. We’ll definitely return!
