Getting around here really calls for a car. The village is tiny, has no public transport, and goes quiet between 12 pm and 3 pm. After 6 pm there’s no outside noise, though the old house itself creaks and bangs: doors, wooden stairs, and floors are all noisy. The host isn’t around after noon, so ask for anything you need before then. She only speaks French, and the check-in directions at booking weren’t clear, which made getting into the property a real challenge. The rooms are roomy and the beds comfortable, but I was disappointed there wasn’t even soap in the bathrooms.
