La Dimora

Our ground-floor room at La Dimora had its own small garden. It was spacious, bright, and comfortable, with tasteful personalised decor that made us feel at home straight away. The whole stay had that same welcoming feel. The hotel sits in the Corsican countryside and manages to feel authentic, elegant, and peaceful, chic without being pretentious. Service was genuinely kind, attentive, and discreet. We felt at ease in the calm atmosphere and were able to properly disconnect. The restaurant was wonderful too. Its menu changed a little each day, with seasonal ingredients that were mostly local. The cooking showed Corsican cuisine with finesse and lightness, without feeling too heavy. I especially liked the crab and Granny Smith appetiser, and the zucchini flowers were exceptional, as they usually are for me. I had John Dory, perfectly cooked with delicate flavours. The desserts leaned lighter, balancing fruit and sweetness, which we appreciated. La Dimora felt like home, while still combining the charm of a historic property with the comfort of a luxury retreat. We loved the region around Oletta and Saint-Florent, with its natural beauty, characterful villages, and stunning coastal scenery. We felt Corsica's authentic soul and loved it.

The peaceful hillside setting is exactly my kind of place. Rooms were very comfortable, the food and drink were amazing, and the staff were wonderful, friendly, and helpful. Brilliant in every respect, highly recommended.

The owner was so friendly, and you can tell she sees the hotel as her pride and joy. The staff were fantastic, kind to my children, and always helpful. We loved the quiet atmosphere, beautiful pool and jacuzzi, and lovely decor throughout. It's dog-friendly too, and I'd recommend it to anyone travelling in northern Corsica.

A great quiet base for exploring northern Corsica. The rooms were very comfortable, the staff helpful and friendly, and the pool area was lovely. Breakfast had a generous selection, and dinner at the restaurant was excellent, with delicious food.
