Chateau d'Olmet Guesthouse

The heated pool was a real highlight, with plenty of loungers and outdoor spots to sit. We also had a lovely first-night dinner and enjoyed the breakfasts. Steve and Eric gave us helpful ideas for places to go and restaurants nearby, and we spent a very enjoyable day at St.Guilhem le Désert. We stayed in the Salagou suite, which was spacious and had a lovely comfortable bed, quality furnishings, bedding, towels, and toiletries. Steve and Eric are wonderfully welcoming. This is easily the most luxurious chambre d’hôte we’ve ever stayed in, and we hope to return before long.

Breakfast was a nice chance to chat with Eric and Stephen, and their advice helped us plan where to go each day. The Chateau is attractive and beautifully renovated, with a relaxed feel that made it a lovely place to unwind. We had a wonderful time at Chateau d'Olmet, and found our hosts friendly and helpful.

Eric and Stephen gave us genuinely useful tips, and we especially enjoyed Pezenas and a swim at le pont du Diable. Next time we’ll give kayaking down the river a try. We had a great stay at Chateau d’Olmet, with a lovely room, a wonderfully comfortable bed, and beautiful surroundings.

The place itself is amazing, with a superb stay, a great location, and lovely people. One meal we chose to have in was a letdown for me personally: the surprise menu was soup, fritters, and chocolate pudding. I’d never eaten soup out before, the fritters had no taste, and I don’t eat chocolate. We should have asked what was being served, so that part was on us. Just check the menu first, and don’t let my meal mishap put you off. I highly recommend staying here.
