Residence Cantu Di Mare

We'd happily stay here again. The hosts were lovely and accommodating, and the setting is wonderfully green and full of flowers. The villa is spacious and peaceful, with a splendid view, and you can reach several restaurants on foot. There's good snorkeling at the beach right in front, while the pool is an easy place to spend a lazy day. It's a great base for enjoying South Corsica and its beautiful beaches.

Paradise on Earth, and we've already been here three times. The owners are fantastic hosts and people, so we're planning to return again. The clean, lovely villa is genuinely relaxing, with a peaceful outlook over Valinco bay. The pool is nearby, rarely crowded, and open almost 24 hours. Beautiful beaches are 200-300m away, about a five-minute walk, and there are three restaurants close by.

We spent ten days at Cantu di Mare in October 23, and it was a perfect base for seeing southern Corsica, from Bonifacio to the mountainous Alta Rocca area. The owners were responsive and helpful. Our apartment was spacious and clean, with everything needed for a comfortable holiday, plus a large shaded terrace surrounded by flowers. It was very peaceful, and the view across Valinco Bay was beautiful. The heated pool was a lovely extra. Plage de Scodi Neri is about a five-minute walk away. It has a long sandy stretch and several little coves where, at least in October, we could find a quiet spot of our own. Plenty more beaches around Valinco Bay are an easy drive away. The apartment house was well equipped.

The owners made us feel very welcome and were friendly and helpful. They gave us a detailed PDF with hiking ideas, points of interest, and their favorite local places. One practical thing to know is that the upper accommodations involve a fairly steep climb. We loved the communal pool, which was large, pleasant, well kept, and heated to 28°C in April. Its setting was idyllic, with a breathtaking view over the bay of Propriano. Outside the villa there's a charcoal barbecue, and the rooms have excellent bedding: a king-size bed in the main bedroom, two singles in the second, and a comfortable sofa bed in the living room. It was renovated two years ago using high-quality materials and careful attention to detail. The 4-star Cantu di Mare residence in Olmeto was extremely well equipped. The modern kitchen had an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, and toaster, and the villas have free Wi-Fi. There's also a laundry room with a washing machine for €4 and a dryer for €2. We were absolutely delighted with our stay.
