Amphitryon

This is a very late review, but my one-night stay was exceptional and memorable. The bon vivant owner hosted me and spent the evening cooking a classic Basque dinner, which was oddly an English breakfast, though here it counts as dinner 🤷‍♂️. We had good wine with it, and I got to try several local cheeses. I'd recommend the experience in a heartbeat.

What made our stay special was how welcoming and helpful the hosts were. They made us feel right at home. The B&B was cozy, clean, and in a perfect location. A relaxing, friendly place to stay, highly recommended.

Gerard kindly booked us a table because my phone French isn't good enough. The Creperie and a shop/bar are both about a hundred metres away, and the chambre d'hotes is set on a pretty square with plenty of free street parking and a lovely garden. The hosts went out of their way to welcome us and suggest places to visit in the area. We were travelling on to see friends, though, so had to get back to the autoroute first thing. Our room was elegant and very comfortable, and breakfast was generous. We recommend this chambre d'hotes to anyone wanting a welcoming stay, and would definitely return if we're in the area again.

There was a secure place to lock up our bikes, and breakfast set us up well to continue our cycling trip. Our hosts made the stay very enjoyable and take real pride in the beautifully restored building, which was part of the old church next door. They were very welcoming.
