Mas La Marchette

Sandrine even spent half a day showing me the local mountain, all 610 metres of it, and I got lifts to and from Céret. During my two nights at Mas de la Marchette, she and Pierre took care of every detail. They're two of the kindest hosts you could hope to meet, and this place is a calm, beautiful oasis among the cork-oak foothills of the eastern Pyrenees. My room was excellent, with a plush blue carpet that made it easy to sleep like a lamb. The food and drink were delightful, with some new tastes for me, chia among them. I can't fault the place or its charming hosts. Wishing them every success this season. Book while you can, it will likely sell out!

The food was great, and they even adjusted it to be lactose-free for my girlfriend. We had a perfect stay last week, with superb mountain views and the sea visible in the distance. They let us check in and out whenever we wanted. I'd recommend going here!

Patricia and Thierry were kind, welcoming, and really helpful. They let us check in a little early because my husband was very unwell with food poisoning, and they were good fun, as were the other guests. We spent four wonderful nights at their beautiful B&B, just a 10-minute drive from Ceret. It feels peaceful and secluded, with a breathtaking view of the mountains and sea. Our room was super comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was the best we had during our two weeks in France, and Patricia's evening meals were delicious, creative, and made with so much care. They're optional and great value. We also fell in love with their affectionate cat and two gorgeous dogs. All three are well trained and a delight. If you're not into pets, it's still fine: the dogs have a large separate enclosed area, and the cat leaves you alone unless you go looking for her, which we did. We're animal lovers, so the pets were a big plus for us, but they needn't be a problem if you don't like them.

Beautiful place, and the hosts are really nice people. Definitely recommend it.
